App identity
Seven per-app fields that tell phones and stores which app is yours: bundle ID, Team ID, Android package, signing fingerprints, both store addresses, and your website.
Dashboard → Settings → App identity. Open Settings from your name at the bottom of the sidebar, or press ⌘,. See Settings.
App identity holds seven fields for the app picked in the header. Your links use them to open your app on a phone, or to send someone to the right store when they do not have it yet.
The fields are split into three groups: iPhone, Android and Web. One Save button at the bottom saves them all.
iPhone

| iOS bundle ID | Your app's ID in reverse web address form, like com.yourcompany.yourapp. Find it in Xcode, on your target's General tab, or in App Store Connect. |
| Apple Team ID | 10 letters and digits, like A1B2C3D4E5. Find it at developer.apple.com under Membership. Letters are made capital as you type. |
| App Store address | Your App Store page. It must be an https://apps.apple.com/... address. |
The bundle ID and Team ID together build your apple-app-site-association file. That file is what lets a tap on one of your links open your app on an iPhone, instead of a web page.
Android

| Signing fingerprints (SHA-256) | One per line, up to 5. Each one is 32 pairs of letters and digits with colons between them, like AB:CD:EF:.... Find them in Play Console → App integrity, or with keytool. |
| Google Play address | Your Google Play page. It must be an https://play.google.com/... address. |
The package and fingerprints together build your assetlinks.json file. That file is what lets a tap on one of your links open your app on an Android phone.
Web

Magic links go through your website on the way to the store. This is the website they use.
Store addresses
When someone taps one of your links and does not have the app, the link sends them to the store for their phone. The App Store address and Google Play address are where it sends them.
Empty store addresses
If a store address is empty, your links have no store to send people to on that kind of phone.
Saving
- A field turns red, with a short message, when what you typed is not in the right shape. Fix it before you save.
- Save stays greyed out until you change something and every change is valid.
- Only the fields you changed are saved. When it works, you see Saved.
- To clear a field, empty it and press Save.

The same fields in Links
The bundle ID, Team ID, Android package and fingerprint fields also appear in Acquire → Links → Domains, under App association. It is the same data. A change in one place shows in the other. See Branded domains.
Ask Hawkings
Hawkings can read all seven fields. It can also save them when you ask it to in chat. For example: "Set my App Store address to https://apps.apple.com/app/id123456789."
